About Me
Somewhat quirky and prone to bouts of melancholia. A bit introverted, opinionated, and pasta fueled… a saddle tramp.
Life has been born into me by the unmerited grace of Christ alone by faith, by trust in Christ alone that I may be clothed in Christ’s righteousness as I stand before the Holy Triune God…to the Glory of God alone!
Mine is an alien righteousness; I possess no righteousness of my own.
Simul Iustus et Peccator
Simultaneously Sinner and Saint
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell.
The third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Hey, Ron. Just wanted to “stop by” and say “hello.” What’s been going on with you lately?
Ron, thank you for bringing laughter to my day. I LOVE the pictures and references from Star Trek Voyager and the Evil Emperor, et al.
I find it curious that you use so much Latin on your website, given that Calvin would think it rather ‘papist’ of you:)?
All the best and Blesssings, Michael.
Hi Michael,
Glad you enjoyed the post(s)! As far as the Latin, I have no anchor in Catholic, or papist, theology as I understand it; I just like the look and sound of Latin. Sounds kinda smart to bandy about phrases in dead languages now and again
Too, “simul justus et peccator” (righteous and at the same time a sinner) is a quote, if memory serves, from Luther and, not surprisingly, conforms rather well to Reformed theology.
In His grip,
Ron
You’ve got a great blog, Ron. It’s good to hear from you again. I’ve added you to my Google Reader.
Hi, I was reading a blog for the first time, and noticed you were from Simpsonville. I used to live in Powderhorn, and my brothers still live there. I live in the Columbia area.
